Serendipity

I've always been fascinated by things that inspire me; inspiration can be found in the oddest of places and certain quotes and words have always struck a chord with me.

One of those words happens to be Serendipity.

Serendipity is such a lovely word with a great meaning: A happy accident. I love the idea of serendipity.. Something magical that brings you to something special. Without serendipity, the world would be a less magical, happy place.

I think the movie "Serendipity" truly brings this to light. John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale bring the true meaning of a happy accident alive. Meeting a stranger on the streets of New York at Christmas time only to find out that you are both in relationships, that's sad.

What's happy is that after a little bit, they find each other again and that serendipity brings them together.

I've only watched the movie once, about two years ago and I have never been able to find it on television again. That was, until this past Christmas when I couldn't simple and it was on, at like 2 am. I was feeling a little down and the movie just came out of no where, just when I needed it to. Is that a moment of serendipity or what?

The movie is all about fate and soul mates, sending out messages into the universe to bring you to a person you really connect with.

It's just such a cool meaning, the entire movie has a message and it makes me so happy.

I hope to encounter more happy accidents in 2013 because life has a funny way of working out when you least expect it.

I've always enjoyed quotes and strange words that instill something in you, motivation, happiness, even sadness. Words have always resonated with me and people have mocked me for loving quotes so much. I'm one of those people who have documents filled with quotes saved on my computer and whenever I need a boost, I look at them and read my favorites.

Words make me feel better and there's nothing wrong with that. Words have always made me believe in whatever I needed to believe in.

Serendipity makes me believe in something bigger, more powerful, like the universe has your back and that fate is something real.

Everyone should have a word or quote that makes them feel good, what's yours?
