Royal Round Up: Week 11

TGIF! I'm working from home today because I thought I truck hit me when I woke up. I had a migraine, a very stuffy nose, and my eyes were swollen. I just needed a day, I guess. I still don't feel 100% so we'll see what happens!

Either way, this week was a good one. I got a promotion at work (!!!) and was so thrilled with it. It really is nice to know that you're valued and appreciated in the work you do everyday so that was really a great way to push my reset button.

I also broke my no buy to get some new underwear, socks, and bras from Aerie & Kate Spade. Those are neccessities, even though they're a bit more luxurious than the common Target run. However, one luxury I did treat myself too (with money I got as a gift so does it count?) was a YSL Card Case. It was my own little treat for getting a promotion and working really hard.

I started the week off with brunch in Astoria with my college roommates, and best friends. It was so nice to get out and spend a beautiful Sunday with my favorite people. We went to Chip NYC and it was the best cookie I have ever eaten -- it rivals Levian Bakery in Manhattan.

If you're in the area, I highly recommend checking them out!

As good as a week is, it's always nice to see the weekend. I feel like I have a lot to do-- make doctors appointments, clean my room, clear my drawers... just things that slip through the cracks during the week.
